Where is this?

The Mall

This is very clearly the Mall, so perhaps the better question here is not 'Where is this?', but rather 'When is this?' Taken on March 28th, this shows only a fraction of the people who came out for the Blossom Kite Festival, which has been occurring annually since 1967. Founded by Air and Space Musuem curator Paul E. Garber, the festival was hosted by the Smithsonian Institution until 2010, after which it was taken over by the organizers of the National Cherry Blossom Festival and renamed the Blossom Kite Festival.

The NGA's Friday night series, Jazz in the Garden returns with events all through the summer. Tickets are free, but must be obtained through the lottery.

America 250 is the official organization planning the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the USA and they have an abundance of events planned in the District this summer.

Capital Pride 2026

Capital Pride returns to the District, with a multitude of events happening in the month of June. The parade and concert are scheduled for June 20 and 21 respectively.

Red Bull Spin Off DC

Red Bull comes to DC's Wharf! Contestants will attempt to navigate a floating obstacle course with homemade bicycle contraptions.
